In 1975, RAX began as a manufacturer of quality soft surfboard racks for automobiles. In 1979, RAX continued to enhance its product range, adding skateboard hard and soft goods to their inventory of growing products and brands.

From 1980 until 1994, RAX prospered as the skate industry gathered momentum. In 1992, RAX was sold by the original owner and purchased by an Action Sports Distributor based in San Diego. In 1999 the company moved to the present location, a custom built, 35,000 square foot warehouse and office complex in the heart of San Diego.

Today, RAX uses an in-house, friendly, knowledgeable sales staff that specializes in customer satisfaction. Our employees are a constant source of product information, continually providing updates on new product, promotions, orders status, and inventory availability.
